We Celebrate His Birth Because of the Meaning of His Life

I came across this video a few days ago and I wanted to share it. It is a beautiful depiction of the reason we celebrate Christmas. Through beautiful music and artwork (each with its own message, story, and significance)the birth, ministry, and life of Jesus Christ is depicted. It is well worth the 7 or so minutes. I love this season and the reminder it is to me of the example Christ set in His life of His love, sacrifice, teachings, and service. Christ did not surround Himself with with the wealthy, the popular, the great, or the powerful. He, instead, dedicated His life to the forgotten ones, the lowly, the poor, the sinners, the sick, and the downtrodden. He served, He healed, He taught, and He reached out to those people. He loved all. I am grateful for His example. I am grateful for His sacrifice, His atonement, and death and resurrection so that each of us can have the hope and peace of what is to come, even for hope and peace in our daily lives. As we dedicate this time to celebrating His birth I cannot help but think of His Life and its meaning to me and all of us.
